This week we welcome, Matt Martin. Matt is currently a winger for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. He has been described as both an enforcer and a grinder while being one of the best guys in the locker room. A veteran of over 725 NHL games - In this episode, Matt describes his evolution as a player, from being a walk-on in Junior to being drafted in the second year of eligibility in a late-round, and how he redefined himself to flourish for so long in that bottom-six role. We also discuss the importance of having a support system when you face adversity in your career, as well as, the power that family provides in leaving hockey life at the door.
